The Academy at The Board Hound
The Academy is an all-inclusive, weekly, day-training program focused on formal obedience training and quality enrichment opportunities. This program is fully-customized to your dog and training goals and is perfect for all ages, all social temperaments, and any obedience skill level.
This model for a day-training program focuses on building obedience skills and confidence in a fun and safe environment while providing opportunities for decompression, engaging activities, and social interaction best suited for each student.
Cost
$560 per week ($830 value!)
What’s included?
2 full days of STEPP Enrichment Daycare
3 full hours of formal training during your dog’s STEPP Daycare visits
1 one-hour Private Training session with your trainer at the end of the week
PLUS videos, photos, tutorials, homework, treats, chews, and more!

At The Board Hound, our daycare was established to enrich the lives of the dogs in our community through healthy outlets for play and socialization. Our smaller play groups come with individual care and attention, while providing a low-stress, safe, daycare environment at our location in Alexandria, Virginia. Since safety is our first priority, we start with providing a high staff to dog ratio of about 1 to 10. This personalization ensures that your dog is always closely monitored.
